โšก LCM & HCF Shortcut Methods

๐Ÿง  By Adarsh Home Tutorials ๐Ÿ

๐Ÿ”ธ 1. Prime Factorization Method (Easy for Small Numbers)

๐Ÿ“ Step: Break numbers into prime factors.
๐Ÿ“Œ HCF = Multiply common primes
๐Ÿ“Œ LCM = Multiply all prime factors (no repetition)

๐Ÿงพ Example:
Find HCF & LCM of 12 and 18
โžก๏ธ 12 = 2ยฒ ร— 3
โžก๏ธ 18 = 2 ร— 3ยฒ
โœ… HCF = 2 ร— 3 = 6
โœ… LCM = 2ยฒ ร— 3ยฒ = 36

๐Ÿ”ธ 2. Division Method (for HCF) ๐Ÿ“‰

๐Ÿ“ Keep dividing till remainder is 0.
๐Ÿ” Swap and repeat.

๐Ÿงพ Example:
Find HCF of 56 and 96
โžก๏ธ 96 รท 56 = 1 (R 40)
โžก๏ธ 56 รท 40 = 1 (R 16)
โžก๏ธ 40 รท 16 = 2 (R 8)
โžก๏ธ 16 รท 8 = 2 (R 0)
โœ… HCF = 8

๐Ÿ”ธ 3. Product Shortcut (For LCM & HCF Combined)

๐Ÿ“Œ LCM ร— HCF = Product of Numbers

๐Ÿงพ Example:
HCF of 15 & 20 = 5
Product = 15 ร— 20 = 300
โžก๏ธ LCM = 300 รท 5 = 60

๐Ÿ”ธ 4. Shortcut for Co-Primes (HCF = 1)

If numbers are co-prime:
โœ… HCF = 1
โœ… LCM = Product of numbers
๐Ÿงพ Example: 7 & 9
HCF = 1, LCM = 7 ร— 9 = 63
